The Fêtes Maritimes Internationales de Brest - Tonnerres de Brest which will take quarters from 13th to 19th July 2012 will offer a foretaste of this major popular festival that attracts crowds of visitors and thousands of boats every four years to the “Cité du Ponant”. Another upcoming distinguished highpoint in Brittany is the leg of the Volvo Ocean Race in Lorient in June 2012; an opportunity to design this  mythic round-the-world race, contended this year by Franck Cammas and his helpmate Groupama, and to rediscover Lorient which is hosting a decisive leg of the race, at the heart of its new burgeoning  boating centre. To support these two exceptional international events, the Brittany region will be very involved in the special events fetching place at Nautic 2011. I have a Volvo Penta 5.0 GXI. there's a brass plug on lower end of boat. is it a drain plug?

Or do I have to stimulate it out? It is a 2011 Nautic star.
i apologize, guys. I should have mentioned I wanted to change the oil in my Volvo Penta engine.
I make some Mercs have that plug with a hose that pulls out for draining oil. I

You don't penury to drain the engine oil, into the bilge. That makes a big mess that is hard to clean up. Simply use a plunder oil pump. See West Marine's online catalog. Search for waste oil pumps.

If you are talking about a nerve plug in the hull at the lower part of the v that is a drain plug. To be used when the boat is out of the water to drain the bilge. When in the spray use the bilge pump.

It is called a Garboard Plug, and is used for draining the boat when you are out of the water. Some MerCruiser engines also
