Rockport Film Festival rolls out the red carpet
— Explanation Up the Silver ScreenThe Rockport Center for the Arts will host a Red Carpet party to kickoff the Rockport Veil Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 3 at the Rockport Center for the Arts. Guests will chat with filmmakers, network with sedulousness folks and talk to filmgoers at the party, which has a "black and white" theme. The Red Carpet Party Rocking-chair is Linda Malinovsky.

A winner is revealed
The winner of the Coastal Deflect Wildlife Photo Contest will be presented at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 5 at the Richard Borchard Regional Fairgrounds. "Wildlife in Woolly, V" also will be dedicated to Luther C. Young III. Lunch will follow at 12:30 p.m.

Disco Fever takes the Art Center
The Art Center of Corpus Christi has mess of exciting activities planned for their 39th birthday party from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 10. Guests will enjoy an evening of art, music, disco dancing, along with a peaceful auction. Corpus Christi Mayor Joe Adame, City Councilwoman Chris Adler, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi President Flavius Killebrew, Urban district Councilman Mark Scott, Principal Galen Hoffstadt and Corpus Christi Independent Principles District Superintendent Scott Elliff will create 1970s themed paintings live. The Annual Fundraiser also will take in food from local caterers, disco dancing under the stars and the popular 8x10 artwork sale.
