I in need of to buy a boat trailer. I am wondering whether I need a boat trailer winch. When I went to a dealer, he tried to sell me a trailer with an electric winch. Do I categorically need one? It increases the price significantly.
try trailering your boat with a script crank winch, you can always add the electric winch later if you find that you need it
hope this helps

Depends on the boat, and you. If you are to a certain built or getting older it is an excellent thing. If the boat is big it is very good indeed. If the boat is a simple light runabout it perhaps isn't needed. If you like showing off your huge arm muscles

It depends on your boat scope and weight and how fit you are! If your boat is heavy, an electric winch will be very, very useful. However, for something small like a jetski it will be just a waste of gelt. This can help you decide what winch is right

Another feature you might consider with the winch, is rollers, they have worked out very well for me, and it makes it very much easier to winch the boat back on to the trailer. I preferred the rollers as it was not so much disturb
