call upon the swivel to the seat first. then, you can get your fingers and a bolt under it if you go from the back of the seat. swivel it around and use the back on each bolt. if that's too complicated, you can buy a base and pedestal.

Regularly Four bolts on the base, four bolts on the chair bottom. Look at the installation manual if it is a new boat seat.

I have a 10' sea king jon boat, if I put a 6inch raise swivel seat in, will it be too unstable and capsize?

It will be in small lakes on calm water. And is there any other suggestions for a swivel seat? maybe a 4 inch rise?
I have a 12 foot jon boat and that might be pushing it.

inadequacy to build myself out of plywood etc.without adding too much weight etc.what type brackets do i use etc.
ok,,,if you have a rowboat to start out with,,,you can get yourself some thalassic grade plywood or treated plywood which would be cheaper,,,4X8 sheet,,,cut to fit from your middle seat to the front seat,, I would use 5/8 to 3/4 for a complete solid deck,,,and

I was reflective about getting a Basstender 10.2 boat with a small outboard/trolling motor. It has 2 swivel seats and an aerated livewell. My boyfriend were thinking it would be a good rig for catch some bass/tarpon/snook in our local canals. We would
have you considered a kayak? agreeable to paddle, no motor problems, cartop carry, low cost and maitenance. the ocean size are dedicated.
