type of wood for aluminum john boat deck?

i have a 14 ft john knockabout and wont to build a deck to stand on and fish off the front of the boat.what type of wood can i use thats cheap and what should i covering the wood with to protect it?
They act as if get by a treated marine plywood thats ideal for this kinda stuff but it isnt the cheapest on the sell either but for a deck on the front of 14' boat im guessing only one sheet would be a plenty. or just go with at least 1/2" treated

theres a category of plastic planking that people build decks with. that will probably work and last for years if you dont sapience the weight of it.

10ft aluminum jon rowing-boat, i want to make a front deck with compartments for tackle the problem is the front gets bigger on the top so part of the aluminum will show cause it will be uneven i will tack pics to visualise this if you message me thanks!!!!

i have a trolling motor i destitution to mount to the front of my aluminum boat. the front deck is about 6" lower than the edge of the boat. what do people use to raise the trolling motor up so it folds down trustworthy in the water without hitting
Go to any sporting goods accumulate that carries fishing/boating supplies and purchase a trolling motor mounting kit....there are several to pick out from...they will have a catalog with the different brands of boats..find your boat-get the product number
