I have a fifteen foot aluminum v-hull, semi tunnel ship. It has a 40 horse two-stroke outboard (tiller handle) on it. If I am in the boat by myself the boat can get up on plane quick-witted and efficient, but if i have another person in the boat the

Tunnel Hull Vs. Regular?
by mlenarduzzi
I am prevailing to obtain a ship within the next 6 months. This will be my first yacht. Since most of the Latin aqua in my stretch is extent empty and the tariff seems to be a little less, I have been looking at aluminum boats. I have narrowed it down to a 17-20' mod-v(not sure-fire which mfg yet, still tiresome to referee, motor yacht show is coming up next month). My particular concerns are the pros and cons of tunnel hull vs periodic hull. I had planned on getting sponsons and a hydraulic jack cut, most of the jack plates I have looked at have about 5-6" setback. A salesman at a local dealership told me that without a tunnel hull, a jack course is unbelievably much a barren of profit, and I can be aware his peak, but I also am reading of lots of people that are continuous jack plates on habitual hulls. The motor will be in the file of 75-115hp. Any poop you guys can provender will be greatly appreciated.
