For a small aluminum boat only about 10 feet long what should I use.?

should I use a trolling motor or a small motor and I don't wish for to spend anything more than 100 buck$ HELP ME

Plunge in an old 350 cubic inch Chevy engine you can pick up in a junkyard, LOL!!! Worked well in the old Chevy p'up those Cubans converted into a boat and tried to hustle to Florida.

Depends on what you plan on doing with the boat. Trolling motors have a very short range and run on batteries. A miniature gas powered motor is the best bet. Probably have to find a used one or make one out of a gas powered weed wacker.

Sizeable Luck!

So what do you chart to do with it and where? Fishing in a little pond you can get by with a paddle or oars. Big water or a stream with current, get a motor charged or gas.

Get a trolling motor and a good deep cycle battery. You'll also need a charger and I don't come up with you'll do all that with a 100 bucks. In Florida, you'll also need to register the boat no matter what engine you put on it. Also, in Florida some lakes do not make allowance gas engines.

A trolling motor works well, certainly put it on the front, they pull better than they push. And they work without tuneups or plugs or a multitude of other problems. Justified turn the switch on a trolling motor and if you charged the battery, it will go.

A use trolling motor, but it will be more like $500 for the motor, battery and charger. Or, look on ebay for a tempered to unit and gamble.

Pulling a boat, a small aluminum boat,, I need a new vehicle to pull it, can I do it with front wheel drive?

I have a small sonoma contact, it does ok till I get on the landing ramp then the boat is too heavy I actully slid backwards into the lake last year. I would like to disburse less than $8000 what would you suggest? The boat is a 14 foot aluminum with an old 10 horse Evinrude.
Ok I get the drift about weight in the back and tires and the boat will float when it gets to the thin out if ny truck rolls back,,,but ,,,,,it is a small rear wheel drive truck. if I carry weight for such an impel the truck wont have enough room for fishing gear. quite honestly I usually fish alone so I don't have a buddy to sit in the back and the declivity is a steep cement one usually it grows algae quite well and is slick. I don't want to command you guys that I dont appreciate your input however you really havent answered my question about a new vehicle,,,I have been told that front to what place drive takes too much beating on the tranny to pull a boat thus the question.

Are you missing to "buy" another vehicle for under $8K?
Front wheel drive isn't the issue, towing capacity is what you be in want of to know. Before you buy, research the vehicle and find out what it's towing capacity is, then weigh your boat and trailer to see what you are actually towing. The rake of the ramp will also be an issue. Find yourself a spot to launch where the angle is less steep should help also.

In NSW, do you need to register a small aluminum boat with a small outboard motor?

According to NSW.gov.au website the following boats are exempt from registration:

Exemptions from this prerequisite include:

any vessel less than 5.5 metres in length, powered by an engine with a power rating of less than 4.0 kilowatts (5 horsepower or less) that is not a commercial holder and that is not the subject of a mooring licence
