He added: “I missed a lot of things, mostly cherry blossoms and Japanese victuals. But I feel very young in both mind and body and I feel I’m in great shape.”

The little talk “retirement” not featuring in his vocabulary, he went on with a laugh: “I’m already philosophy about my next trip. I’d like to head to Greenland and Alaska next. I just need to present the money and then I’ll go off again.”

It is known for bad ride out and storms almost all the time. If you look at a globe or world map, you will see that there is no obstructions or land mass to block the rodomontade that is blowing generally east or west, all the way around the earth at that latitude.

The ill can change very dramatically very quickly. You would be foolish to try it in a small boat with obviously little experience.
