What causes a boat trailer tires to lock up?

When traveling back from a fishing junket carrying my boat on it's trailer, the trailer's tires locked up. What a hassel. I had to find a Marina nearby and rent a slip for my boat!! If you can help to let me differentiate what caused the tires on the

If it has brakes perhaps they locked. If not then it's most likely wheel bearings that seized from lack of grease.

There are WHEEL BEARINGS in the trailer's wheels
THEY NEED TO BE GREASED!!
Once a year should do it, but if you buy the gease gun and a cartridge, DO IT EVERY Freak out

Waken. The bearings locked up. Water on the wheel bearings, not enough grease on the bearings. There is such a thing as a bearing buddy and a demeanour bra that protect the bearing from water and keep the grease in better.

Some newer trailer have dics brakes that can stabilize b commit up.
You may have a bearing that has siezed to the spindel.

Institute a Bearing Buddy kit in your axle bearings. This will retain the grease in the bearing and prevent the grease from being washed out. It also has a Zerk accoutrements to enable frequent greasing.

not putting new grease in the buddy bearings on a habitual basis will cause them to have salt mixed in old grease ,salt and grease become paste,not a very good lubricant,then they will get hot,and also-ran will occur when the bearings weld to the race,or

I have a 20 ft Allison family boat and just was wondering if anyone had any luck with buying trailer tires and aluminum wheels online, or did you find a better deal elsewhere (and if so, where?) I'm uncompromising on money! They are size ST225/75R15
Is the boat weighty ? (3000 lbs ) car tires will not hold up. sidewalls are not strong enough. Make sure they are trailer tires

I difficulty to take the bearing nut and cotter pin out just to take the tire off. My spare doesn't have the bearing assembly in it. What do I do? Buy a new bearing convocation for the spare?
Take the whole synod off and switch over to "Bearing Buddies" then use regular wheels and tires.
