Lake Madison residents clean up after Sunday's storm
At Lake Madison Sunday, many people are cleaning up after brilliant winds and heavy rains damaged their property.
"I think you are always surprised when a storm is this intense. Very surprised at the amount of check compensation and how many people lost docks and boats on the beaches and jet skis piled up against each other," Anita Weiland said.
"The docks are out; our boat lifts are doubtlessly bent. The ski lift is on the beach. Our boat has probably sustained some damage on the back but because we haven't been able to get it out we can't see yet. Our jet ski is beached. Our neighbor's boat which happens to be a make new boat is sitting on the beach and their dock is pretty much gone," Rosie Dehli said.
"Down by Weber's, they had some easy on the eyes significant damage with boat lifts. One boat lift was turned upside down. Others docks were wrapped around. It was pretty substantial," Rosie Dehli said.
"This is twice that I've competent this. That's enough for a while. It started with constant lightning. You could see everything like it was daylight cause it was constant lightning. Then the down on started and wind started after that," Carol Rich said.
