How would I attach a seat/bench to an old fiberglass hulled fishing boat?

I have an old Edson 16 ft. fiberglass boat which has been converted to a fishing boat with 2 captain's chairs. I yearning to add a bench seat to the boat to be able to take the kids out fishing too but am not sure how to attach the wood framed bench
Somewhat easily,,, first, attach pieces of wood to the hull of the boat with fiberglass matt, cloth and resin. then, use stainless brace screws or lags to attach the bench to the wood. I recomend the stainless fasteners because they are just about rust

Are a handful of ways that you can do. One that I have used is to make Fiberglass Stanchions. Use the old Wood Core method. Lay some 2x4 or firring strips in the places where the seats will demand Screws or hardware, glue them in place. Then glass over them

how about correct old fashioned "L" brackets??

You are honest to assume you need to attach a stanchion to the fiberglass hull to support the bench, using fiberglass and resin.However...a well crafted lifeless frame that can sit fairly tight within the hull to support the bench seat can work as well...assuming

what kind of plywood do you use to attach boat seats to metal bench seats in a metal boat?

I bought a fishing boat 16 foot that has metal bench seats in it and after to change to fold up seats with taking out any of the bench seats
1/2" to 3/4" thickness should be apt. Seal it with a nautical-quality varnish / sealer too.
Keep an eye on the wood over time though... being exposed to the extravagantly will break it down over time.

My boat has 3 bench seats extra a smaller one in the bow and i am having a really hard time trying to get ply wood cut just right to fit totally in the space in the bow. the problem is the slant of the sides as it comes to the point in the bow with it
Try this! Recompense for a cardboard pattern of the bow section, and then measure the height of the wood that you're going to use, then measure the distance of the widest part of the peice, at that elevation, adding a slight bevel to compensate for any

I'd like to get some pads made for the boat. I prerequisite a pad or 3 to blind the full bow for accommodation, laying in the sun, etc. I also hope for 2 pads for back rests on the front of the dual comfort in the bow. I also would like a bench seat for the back of the boat that swings out of the way off to one side. I don't positive if this exists. The boat is about 8ft inappropriate so I should be skilled to fit a bench about 72 or so inches major. I'd like to be proficient to access the honky-tonk party line, etc without climbing over. Ideas? It would be faultless if the bench seat and the bow cushions are removable for fishing trips. The cushions should be without even trying removable so we can access the toy storage arrondissement, but not seemly to hit off when we are mobile. My color desire is either undefiled, creamy, or perhaps pale. The cushions should not absorb moisten at all. I have every intention to assume immersing wet people to be sitting or laying on them. So I'm looking for ideas, and also people that do palatable calling in my courtyard. My dad knows lots of people in Clearwater but I'd rather not induce the boat all the way over there. I'd like to get some pads made for the boat. I deprivation a pad or 3 to wrap the whole bow for capacity, laying in the sun, etc. I also yen 2 pads for back rests on the front of the dual calm in the bow. I also would like a bench seat for the back of the boat that swings out of the way off to one side. I don't differentiate if this exists. The boat is about 8ft widespread so I should be capable to fit a bench about 72 or so inches inclusive. I'd like to be clever to access the plunge stand, etc without climbing over. Ideas? It would be genial if the bench seat and the bow cushions are removable for fishing trips. The cushions should be well removable so we can access the toy storage space, but not meet to wallop off when we are touching. My color prejudice is either pure, anaemic, or perhaps off-white. The cushions should not absorb adulterate at all. I have every end to want wet wet people to be sitting or laying on them....
