What is the deepest, widest, welded aluminum boat made in a 18 footer?
Nov 30, 2008 by tkept | Posted in Boats & Boating
I was recently on Puget Impression in Washington and saw 2 boats that were open work boats with a center counsel in the 18 foot merit. They looked like giant row boats. The sides were at least 5 foot high. I found no name or brand on them. Does anybody have any design?
Monark Boats has changed it's name to "SeaArk" has built be like boats, and there's a company called WorkSkiff that has one that's Deep-V, and I cant remember the name of a company in the
New Orleans area that built some routine. If you see one in your area, check with the local marine police, they might know whichcommercials firm is using these boats and that could escort to the source. Also if you have the Boat Number check with the star registrationofficee and follow the thread. Good Luck:

The only name I be versed is a UK firm called Sea Otter Work Boats.
They supplied work boats for oil rigs and cling to work boats.
They also built boats for the leisure sector, mainly canal and river boats with a few barges and company boats.

18 ft. Lund Aluminum boat non painted bottom. Would it be cheaper to power sift bi- weekly than to apply anti foul paint ? Boat will be in water 2 months
Hey,
I had my aluminum boat in the (spiciness)water for about three months. The key is when you pull it out of the water to wash it very good, and keep your motor tilted up out of the water. The boat won't suffer cheese-paring as much as the motor will. You can put some zinc annodes on it to help I suggest putting the majority of your effort in caring for the motor.I don't skilled in where in Fl. your going but as a precaution stop in at a local marina and ask about adding some zinc's.
