Only just curious if you had 3 grown people on a 12' boat and a new trolling motor battery with a 42lb thrust trolling motor (transom mount) how protracted would it last while frishing or running around out on the lake? About how many hours on a calm
you should get about two hours run every so often old-fashioned out of a good 12v deep cycle battery. for extended time on the water look for a trolling motor with thrumming modulation take a look at this min kota site that describes this feature

Repentant I can't give a good estimate, but I would guess with good condition battery and moderate to
low speed you'll get 1-2 hours. But, there are many factors.
The harder you run it , the shorter occasion it wil go.
Duration is a factor

I upright recently bought this boat and I'm fixing it up. It didn't come with a battery so im looking for recommendations. Also what is a logical horsepower for it as well? Thanks.
If your usual with a electric trolling motor than a large 27 group deep cycle. What are your voltage draws fish finder air. Out board with electric start than a deep cycle battery. If a non charging outboard use a solar panel to eschew keep the battery

What size outboard motor for a 1960 Sears 12 foot aluminum boat?

I'm stuck between getting a 6hp or a 9.8hp (4-action). The maximum rated hp for the boat is 10 hp, but I'm worried that size is based on the lighter 2-strokes from the era. The sum total max weight for people, motor & gear is 488 lbs. Any advice would
The discrepancy in weight won't be as much as you think between a sixties two stroke 10 hp and a modern four stroke equivalent.
Any of those older modify boats are better transported with the engine off the transom, they were mostly expected

It depends on the industrialist of the boat . Some 12 ft boats can handle this much power, others will not. Look for the manufacturer's Capacity plate mounted on the top favourable of the transom. It will list the maximum weight and horsepower that
