what is better for a 10 -11 ft inflatable 5 hp engine floor bored wise marine plywood or Aluminum (salt water)?

im looking at inflatables and i was wondering what was mastery Aluminum or ply wood its only a 5 hp engine so weight is an issue the boats used in salt water.
Ply with three allowable coats of epoxy. You could paint the ply, but water will enter the laminate quickly through the edges. Aluminium will be heavier for the same ruggedness.

aluminum is for raw water. salt water kills aluminum.

The 9.9 should be unbiased fine. In all honesty, boats are usually underrated in order to quell insurance issues. Had a boat rated to 170 hp which virtuous wasnt enough. But of course its your call

Minn Kota makes a wholesome motor but (in my opinion) they "fudge" a little on how many Lb thrusts their motor's push.
On the other indicator, Motorguide motors are slightly "stronger" than what the company advertises.
